Since I posted about blogging last Tuesday [Glaring Omission] and about writing last Wednesday [10 Reasons to Get Paid to Write], I don’t feel up to pontificating today. (!?!) Instead of the end-of-the-month, state-of-the-blog post, here’s a video of my lesson with Lola last week. This was on Tuesday before the show on Saturday. ShowContinue reading “Her Name is Lola”

Drop shade instruction from Typekit Practice: Using shades for eye-catching emphasis. Nice colors but not my best work. That’s what I get for leaving it to the last minute. I’m all about clever ideas. Disciplined follow-thru? Less me. Jump-offs rather than dressage tests.
Horse Show Today: NeGCHA 2014

Not enough magazine work to justify the expense :(. One of my goals for 2014 was to get more paying work [7th Day]. I’ve approachedContinue reading “10 Reasons to Get Paid to Write”
Glaring Omission
Upon trolling the archives for the Sam post [Text Art: SMM], I discovered that in some show reports I omit explicit mention of the horse involved. The name usually comes up in the conversation, but by then I have mentioned the show, the class, and the ribbon. The horse should come before all of these.Continue reading “Glaring Omission”
