Update 1/15/14: the first photo is my desktop wallpaper. Makes me smile every time. Say what you will about Rodney as a competition horse (and I’ll agree with you), he is an endearingly entertaining lawn ornament.

I love the top one! It looks like he’s licking a green candy cane 😀
He seems so calm about it all! Love the one where he’s falling asleep.
That’s Rodney. When he’s not up in the rafters, he’s goofy, easy-going, & inquisitive. Really, the ideal horse. Except …
That’s a big ‘except’. Why not try teaching him some tricks? shake, roll over, heel (Priney would do this and it freaked people out because i was obviously not holding the lead rope, and she would just walk calmly beside me.)
Yea, an enormous ‘except’. Groundwork is on the list. Right now, I’m prioritizing bodywork. I could to both, but there is a limit to the enthusiasm I am willing to pour down this emotional sinkhole.
Plus, the smallest activities appear to start the tension cycle: hopping a crossrail, trotting in hand, wearing a leather halter. Sigh. I’m gonna go play with LEGO.
Really sorry I can’t help. Wish I could meet in person – in horse-son?
