Awareness of the outside world. Scam Alert. Got a postcard announcing a Medicare appointment. (Our age has brought us to the attention of the beast that is the Medicare industry.) No identifiers, neither government nor business. Hmm. Search on the phone number lead right to, FCC: A Phone Scam That Starts with a Postcard. Be suspicious of your mail.

Lovely photos, especially the middle one. I saved that to my “pix by Katherine” file.
I’ve been dealing with the Medicare machine for a while now. You have to be soooo careful! Never give your Medicare number over the phone if someone calls you. If they’re really from the gov’t., they’ll have that info. Or you Social Security number. If someone insists they’re real, tell them to send you something by physical mail – they’ll have the address. You’ll quickly learn to recognize the real thing. You have to be so careful these days.
