Managed to misplace both pairs of schooling jods. Looked and looked. Finally gave up & wore britches. They were okay. Scrunched up a bit, but generally I didn’t notice the difference.
Question. If one is NOT supposed to grip with the knees in hunt seat, why do britches – as opposed to jods – still have knee patches? Is this a holdover that pre-dates forward seat? As I understand it, “Back in the 19th century, Frederico Caprilli had not been born and there was no forward seat. What we now call saddle seat was just plain riding.” [Saddle Seat Sidesaddle]

During the unending jods quest, I unearthed britches I had completely forgotten about. Thought these would be fun to drive in. [New Equipment: Britches & Boots]

Coach James photo bombs with a selfie. You gonna mess with my camera? You gonna become content!
Onwards!

Shortly after I had to stop riding, they started making women’s britches in “curvy.” I’ve always been curvy. *sigh* Such is life.
It’s always good to locate, find, wear, launder, toss aside one’s jodhpurs, breeches. Lol. Thanks for the link to the Purdue Vet School story about the injured horse and a 3-D printed mask. I’m forwarding this blog to my vet sisters and cousins, and cousins who are Purdue grads. It’s an interesting story, and who knew 3-D printing would end up to help heal a horse! MM
