Never Have I Ever, Breyer Collector Edition, Blog Hop

Awareness of the outside world. “A portion of the proceeds from the Never Say Neigh-ver 5K will benefit Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement.” Breyer: Never Say Neigh-ver 5K – BreyerFest 2024. “On the Thursday morning of Breyerfest, Mackenzie and I made the very short trek to tour Old Friends.” Kristin Beverly: Old Friends, 2023.

In honor of BreyerFest this weekend. Breyer: What Is BreyerFest 2024?

Inspiration. “Never Have I Ever prompt from Sputter Moo Productions.” Braymere Custom Saddlery: Never have I ever, Breyer collector edition, January 23, 2024. Sputter Moo Productions.

Never have I ever …

Gone To Breyerfest. Fractional points for virtual. [2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 no post]

Customized a model. Vague memories of a failed attempt to customize a model as a kid. Dunno if it was a Breyer or not.

Owned a decorator. Yes. [Shopping: My First Model]

Congo-ed a mold. A micro congo. Identify Your Breyer: Esprit. I have Fire (2014 Year of the Horse), Neptune & two Apollos. It was interesting. I’ve stopped.

Talked to my models. I have two on my desk at the moment. I tell them they are pretty. Both decorators, BTW.

Gone to a live show. [What Happens at a Model Horse Show?]

Witnessed the aftermath of model “dominoes”. Cue Catzilla. Loose models no longer live on the top of bookcases.

Owned a blue model. Yes. [Low Key Photo Challenge: Toys]

The blue Big Lex model is my one grail, Scale Farm: Breyer 9132. Otherwise mostly done, “Today is the first day of Virtual Breyerfest. I sense model horses slipping into the loose ends category. I will “attend” this weekend’s festivities, walk the virtual 5K, and then probably not think about plastic ponies until next year.” [Horse Brasses and Permission Not To Pay Attention, NHBS 2021]

Read this whole list. Braymere ends their post with , “Read this whole list. Not only did I read it, I turned it into an entire blog post.” Yup.

Onwards!
Katherine

  1. I’ve done Virtual Breyerfest every year. I have the heat tolerance of a snowball, so in-person BF is not likely to happen. For the rest of the list, if modern decorators count, then yes, but I live in hope of finding a vintage blue or gold horse in a flea mall someday.
