Mystery #1: Butt Wrinkles
At the end of the summer, Rodney developed wrinkles around the top of his tail. I have never seen the like. They are now fading. WTF? Any ideas?
Mystery #2: Hay Holes
I sweep old, unused hay out to the dirt area in front of the barn for erosion control. Some critter comes along and digs perfectly round, 3″ holes. Over a dozen in one night. Again I say unto you, WTF?

We have the same holes in our compost heap. We suspect chipmunks.
No idea on either count. The holes look like ground wasp holes but your say they are 3″ across, so way too big to be insects
Have you ever tried staying up and playing whack-a-mole? LOL
The holes are the right size for chipmunks. They may be gathering nest material or looking for something else. That size hole used to appear in my flower beds when I planted bulbs – which the chipmunks promptly swiped.
