Blankets in the general sense of horse coverings.

First blanketing of the season. Rodney donned a sweatshirt to warm up before a ride on Sunday. [New Equipment]

Above 70 degrees.

Sunny.

Healthy, unclipped horse with a good start on his winter coat.

Shrug.

He likes to be warm. [I’m Cold, You Need A Blanket]

  1. I’m with Rodney.

In our family, Dad (your grandfather) and I always had sweaters, Mom (grandmother) and my brother Jim never did. Since Dad and I were “Type A” and Mom and Jim were “Type B”, we wondered if there was a connection. Rodney’s more Type A…

    That’s a rabbit hole….

  2. I noticed, just a few days ago when I went to pet Bo, he is starting to grow his winter coat. It’s funny, every year there’s one day when he suddenly feels just a bit velvety, instead of slick. That’s a sure sign for me that “Winter is coming”.
