The idea was to draw fast and by the pageful in order to shut down the internal critic. As with the Art Journal class, I was not the intended audience. [Journal Workshop]

I have no trouble with bad art. I make a lot of it. I have no problem with that. The bar is so low for my Sunday art posts, that if I come up with anything halfway passible, I consider it a victory and move on.

For me, the class was a success.

I got out of the house. I interacted with three-dimensional people. I had fun.

I got to play with supplies. This time charcoal, pastels, & gouache.

Onwards!

  1. Trying new things is good, especially as one matures. It prevents hardening of the categories.

  2. Like the colorful scribble on left side of art book. Good to get out, try new things. We all need more of that. MM
