Tractor Supply Company has opened another store near to me. There are now three Tractor Supply stores within 10 miles of my house. That seems excessive.
I’m sure there is a VP of Customer Alignment who has an algorithm that optimizes store location per population density per expected retail engagement per cost. Or words to that effect. Some calculation told them this was a good idea.
I don’t get it. If I buy horse treats from here, I won’t buy them from there. They don’t get any more money from us with another store.
(Given the rate the Cookie Meister doles out cookies, we want small and low calorie. We used to buy larger, fancy treats for trailering, but Milton didn’t care and Rodney didn’t always eat them. But I digress.)
I went to the new store. Looks like every other Tractor Supply.
