tl,dr: pitiful, with less woe.

Current horses usually feel sore after getting their annual shots. I don’t remember Previous Horse & Mathilda having such strong reactions. More effective vaccines? Less effective horses? The world may never know. [Annual Check-Ups]
This year wasn’t too bad. Rodney was punk that night but perked up over the weekend. Since he already eats out of a hay net & has his grain bucket up off the ground, we didn’t have to make any adjustments. [Rodney’s Dinner Table]
Milton took the weekend off. Stiff neck. Uninterested in stretching aaaalllll the way down to the ground. Grain bucket elevated. Hay bucket hanging from a tack hook. Ran a mild fever. Pitiful horse to the max. [Purple Muck Bucket]
While they were physically sore, there was less existential woe this year. The appointment was later in the year, so the weather was nicer. I suspect less heat means less woe. Easier to feel sorry for one’s self in high summer.
Onwards!

Ohhhh I feel for them, even if those vaccines and shots are necessary for a good life. Slim was always “out of it” for a day or two after her annual shots too. MM
I shouldn’t laugh at them too much. Karma might be looming for us people getting our fall shots.
