We are putting what passes for work with the horses on pause until we stop having heat alerts.
True. A short, quiet stroll in the shade is not going stress anyone.
Meh. We’re not in any hurry. We’re not going anywhere. We’re not getting ready for anything.
Morning walks will continue.

Truth.
I could not live in the sort of heat many people tolerate and that some even enjoy. I’ve spent spring and fall days in New Orleans and Phoenix, summer days in Kansas and Missouri. Alabama, New Mexico, and Mississippi in summer would push me over the edge. There’s a reason I like living on the Oregon coast. But, you know, what we enjoy and where we live is a personal choice.
I can’t say that I like the heat, but I get cold easily and deeply dislike getting dark at 3 pm.
