Commentary
A huge part of endurance competitions is soundness of the horse. The IRL Tevis has multiple vet checks, including one at the end. The horse must be judged Fit To Continue. You can complete all 100 miles and still get bounced. Talk about sad face.
Clearly, the Virtual Tevis has no such system. The soundness of each horse is up to their human. After Rodney finished, he got a day off, mostly due to logistics, and then resumed the daily morning mile. Milton ditto, but without the day off.
Fit to continue? Check.

I’m amazed by your dedication to Tevis — which must be good for horses, and rider too. MM
It’s more vice versa. It’s good for all of us, so we keep at it.
