Metro UK: When are the 12 Days of Christmas and what happens during them? by Elizabeth Atkin, Dec 2020

Vox: The 12 Days of Christmas: The story behind the holiday’s most annoying carol, by Tanya Pai, Dec 1, 2020

Nine ladies dancing or nine drummers drumming? It depends. Wiki: The Twelve Days of Christmas (song) > Variations of the lyrics, in which we find hounds, hares, bulls, bells, fifers, & fiddlers. Most variation creeps in at 7 & above. I guess because those lines don’t repeat as often.

  1. Great!

Btw, juniper is used for making gin, I think. So, I’ll take a gin and tonic any day, to celebrate a better year…or at least, all twelve days???

Note: Don’t know how you are with alcohol and your blog. But, thought it was a fun response to today’s blog.

    Thanks- Meg

    1. A bit of spirit for the Christmas spirit? I’m verging on becoming a “dry” myself, but I know other people indulge, some even do it in moderation. As long as they don’t do it in the street and scare the horses. https://quoteinvestigator.com/2019/10/08/frighten/

Which actually isn’t true b/c I can think of many, many – way too many – things that would be awful behind closed doors. But I have wandered from my point. Happy Christmas Season! Cheers!
